Examples of our client projects include:
- Rewriting and updating biometric guidance for the Centre for the Protection of national Infrastructure (CPNI), which provides protective security advice to businesses and organisations across the critical national infrastructure - we also produced a new test standard for evaluating the biometric function of automatic access control systems as part of an end-to-end revamp of CPNI’s biometric test strategy
- Proving testing performance, PAD, security and equity testing services to biometric and identity document authentication technology providers in the UK and internationally
- Developing a comprehensive test strategy for the Home Office to evaluate the biometric and document authentication functions of their General Identity Verification application
- Provided support to the Home Office’s Biometric Self-Enrolment Feasibility Trial, delivering PAD testing against 12 mobile systems and 5 kiosk systems
- Provided support to a number of biometric vendors, assessing a range of security threats, developing new and novel attacks against particular security features and providing close support in vendors’ research and development
- Designing the UK Government’s policy, strategy and standards for digital identity, and working with a broad section of global and national stakeholders developing the UK’s approach to digital ID
- Advising the UK Government’s Department for International Development and Cabinet Office International on their digital identity and biometric investments in programmes globally including the World Bank, United Nations and OECD
- Responsibility for reflecting the role of digital identity and eIDAS into the UK Money Laundering Regulations, working directly with Her Majesty’s Treasury, financial industry regulators and industry
- Representing the UK Government as its digital identity experts at the EU Commission for eIDAS, the OECD and Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to define the role of digital identity in financial services and global anti money laundering models
- Members of a number of international standards bodies and international trade organisations (FIDO, BSI IST44/ISO SC 37, Biometric Institute, OIX, MOSIP)
- Digital identity and biometric advisors to a number of Asian governments, leading on the alignment of their national digital identity strategies and financial services regulatory frameworks
- Advising the National Health Services flagship identity programme, NHS Login, on its service design, product development, investment in biometric and identity technology providers, and risk and fraud management
- Advising leading UK financial services companies, evaluating and assuring their present biometric and identity technical capabilities and product strategies and designing recommendations on enhancements for an evolving UK market
- Global humanitarian and development agency assessing their investments in biometric technology, including performance and security considerations
